Your legend would grow, called a hero of the nation for the North and a terrible monster of the South. All slain by your hand would be returned to and dealt with by the Divine as they saw fit, just as all your people should be.
When the war drew to a stalemate however, and you attempted to settle into the peaceful life you had earned, the Corpse-Collector on the Rivers of Blood was not pleased. It had granted you eternal life and expected an eternal life's worth of work done in return. For this you were often sent off to kill in your own lands. Bandits and deserters at first, but the prey the Kami asked for quickly began to weary your heart and mind. Reluctance grew into disobedience, and your disobedience was deemed Amoral.
