Not head on, no matter how strong my magic got.” Tanya continues, turning from the camera back to you. “So, I cheated. I used my divine powers to search out others, other deities who may be sympathetic to my cause. But wouldn't you know it, I found one with a vicious grudge against your family.”
“A god with a grudge against my family?” you ask, then can't help but smile. “Do you know how little that narrows it down?”
“HA! No, most of the gods are cowards. Afraid of your father's power that he showed off last year.” she says, giving a carnivorous grin at probably the expression on your face. “Oh yes, they all felt what he did during your niece's first birthday. But one god in particular hates your father, him and your brother both with a burning passion. Or, rather, hated. As I learned your brother killed him on the first day of this current year.”
“Oh, you mean that golden helmet-hiding coward Nabu?” you ask, then realize what she said. “Wait, he tried to help you beat me? Was he trying to kill me too, like he tried having my brother and father assassinated by that fat bastard Lobo?”
“Indeed. He was the one to lend me a part of the power of Order, his domain.” Tanya explains to you. “With it, I was able to dictate how, in that space only I was able to receive the power of worship. That is how I was able to cut you off from your own divine form, at least partially.”
“Oh, I see. That wasn't your power, but his.” you say, feeling a little disappointed. “And here I was hoping you'd be able to help us out if another god started trying anything with my family.”
“Unfortunately not, that was a one-time spell I can't duplicate on my own.” Tanya tells you, trying to control her tone but still sounding a bit bitter about it before controlling her voice and again facing the camera. “I wasn't able to keep any of that power, once the battle was over. And now that Nabu's dead, I don't think anyone else can copy it either.”
“Well, I wouldn't say THAT.” you say with a sly look, Tanya's head whipping around towards you in immediate panicked concern. “I know somebody who has started working on something like that a few months back. But then he got busy with other stuff, what with his wife getting pregnant and all.”
“Your brother is working on an anti-god technique like that?” Tanya asks, you only grinning and not replying. That is, until one of the paid messages comes through your stream, the text-to-speech playing through the speaker.
