"That's exactly what I was thinking! How about we each take one, eh?" Your dad grins and heads off towards Sasuke, leaving you to invite the Inuzukas.
You make your way to the father tossing his daughter in the air, standing beside a very concerned puppy. Shiromaru is whimpering a bit at having to watch the spectacle. As you arrive, Mimi's mom Tamaki notices you.
"Hello there, Akio." She greets you politely. "Congratulations on your graduation."
"Hey, it's Akio. Congrats, kid." Kiba sees you and sets Mimi down to speak with you. "What's up? Wait, don't tell me. You're having a get together at Keiji's, right? And we're invited?"
"Yeah, that's exactly it." You admit. This must have been a pretty common occurrence for him to know so immediately. "Do you want to join us?"
"Hell yeah we do, right Mimi?" Kiba looks to his daughter.
"Yeah!" Mimi pumps her fist into the air.
Tamaki seems to have no reason to object, so she goes with the flow and agrees to come as well.
Nearby, you see Chocho's dad leaning towards your group and drooling a bit
"Uhh... You think I could get in on-" He begins to ask, before he gets grabbed by the ear and tugged painfully by a woman you assume to be his wife. "Oww!"
"Choji, you know we have the three clans meeting up to celebrate!" She scolds her husband. "You're the Akimichi head! No chance you're getting out of this one!"
Choji shouts to you as he's dragged away by his wife. "Hey, tell your dad I'll be by soon one of these days, alright? Oww..."
With that settled, your new party heads to the Jade Palace where several tables are already reserved. Your Uncle brings out plenty of food, there's enough for anybody to have any dish they want.
Your dad immediately gravitates towards his two friends, and they chat away while they eat. Your mom and Kagari's mom do the same, you remember hearing that they were on the same Genin team too. Mimi's mom sits between her husband and her mother-in-law, not getting a whole lot of conversation in.
You and your childhood friends are mostly left alone in this situation, aside from the obligatory congratulations you're given. It seems this was mainly taken as an opportunity for the parents to catch up with each other.
"It's our graduation, but we're practically forgotten about." Mimi sighs. "At least everyone seems to be having fun."
"Our dads seem to have the most fun when they're together." Kagari notes. "Being on the same team must have made their friendship really strong."
Kagari suddenly looks a bit dejected.
"You guys... We'll still be friends if we're not on the same team, right?" She clutches the front of her shirt.
