Guess what? USED goods stores still existed in your dad's, dad's dads, dad's dad's dad, dad's dad's dad's dads time though. You still made enough money to get the government's attention though and even a while back, the government would have made you pay up.
The difference between now and then is that the government has more technology to make it easier to report and monitor shit.
