Thanks to USA being on all the time at my grandparents' place growing up, I saw Child's Play 2 more times than I can count and I still remember some kind of mobile display with the jack in the box dangling in the theater where I saw Ninja Turtles as a kid. "Sorry, Jack... Chucky's back!" has stuck in my head all these years since.

Does anyone know if there is a code guide for these? I only recently saw them on Walmart's website and only one video for them comes up on YouTube posted last month and it's just some guy finding them in the store. I'd like to get my daughter a couple of them since she's been into the movie but is too young for the actual figures right now.

Seems that way. Not the dumb part. I saw a Toony Terror Art figure for 25 bux. Saw the same figure in another store for 20 bux. Normally I've only seen them for 20 bux, except FYE. I did buy some Return of the Living Dead Reaction figures from them, only because they were on clearance and a discount for 11.39 each, and glow in the dark.

Yea, I think they must have just dropped them sometime in October since that's when that video was uploaded. If they aren't coded, then that sucks. They seem to just be in a bag, so I wonder if you could feel through it to determine the silhouette. They're $10 a piece, which isn't a lot but I just want to get her the ones that aren't the black and white or gold variants. Hopefully those are the rarer ones.

No disrespect, but I have to ask. I've noticed when it comes to horror/monster figures, the majority of people prefer boring characters like this. Why is that? Out of all monsters and creature designs out there, most seem to prefer chucky, michael myers, clowns, etc. Characters with lousy bland designs and weak.

So the fact that the figure is based off a movie is the reason. I understand having a point of reference but still don't when it comes to wanting a figure of a man or midget doll. Not for nothing but that mindset is why we get the same shit made over and over again. Be it toys or movies.

Yes. People see thing. They recognise thing. Buy thing and get sweet, sweet dopamine release.
I know it sucks and I would prefer to get interesting designs like all of the Thing's various forms or Brundlefly because I like cool freaky monsters, but boring guy in a William Shatner mask wielding knife will always outsell them, even if most of the movies he's from are complete and utter garbage.

for decades there was really no good merch of a lot of those horror icons. People just want a figure of them now that companies seem to care. it’s not complicated. Also Neca and other toy companies have made it pretty clear to consumers that making one-off figures with new tooling is pretty expensive. If they make a Brundlefly figure or newly sculpted figures based on different Thing forms, they can’t really retool it to make several different figures like they could with Chucky, Freddy, Jason or Myers.

Ross had a few NECA's, mostly random horror stuff. I wish I grabbed the Goonies one I saw at a suburban location last week but I thought it was some knock-off. Today, I saw about 10 different NECA boxes so they were clearly legit overstock.

I'm fine with a few more. I usually check the collector's corner at Target every time I hit one of the stores large enough to have them, but I noticed this past year that some of the larger stores have been making NECA specific end caps, the Turtle's got an entire display. But I also went ahead and signed up for the email blasts from NECA to hear about what they have in development.

I don't see myself buying anything else since I'm not into horror, which seems to be a lot of what I see coming out, or classic movies, but who knows.
