I also have no way to calculate how much it "costs" Lego to develop a set. (including the factory real-estate costs and the HR person, the TV ads?... ALL the factors!)

but you have to imagine Lego knows those numbers. and companies typically work on double-profit margins. so it's safe to assume if Walmart sells the set for $100, they bought it from Lego for $50. and Lego sold it to Walmart for $50, because it cost them $25. those are minimum expectations, it's possible Lego gets a much higher margin, so that $100 set (at Walmart) only cost Lego $10 to make, with ALL the factors.

again, that's just a guess.

I prefer my town to have a more vintage lego feel, and to be less "modern" too. I'll be adding more buildings down the line. The theatre should fit well with it with any luck as it's sort of from the same time period I'm going for.

Depends on how they pack them. Its a big enough set that the instructions will probably come wrapped in one of those brown paper bags, and the panels will likely be packaged in with that.
