It's THEIR preorders ESL-kun. Also I doubt SexyIce2019 have unlimited resources so they obviously close the preorder window once they hit the feasible amount of figures they can make in a reasonable time frame.

I have the added armor on and it's the angle. The stand doesn't help either. Really makes me want to get the hopdo rhino beetle. I wasn't sold when I ordered him and thought I'd just try to resell to get my money back but once I opened him I said NOPE.

i didnt get manticora cause i personally didnt like how goofy the skinny long legs looked especially when posed, its like 4 limbs sprouting from a circle, feel like they couldve increased the torso length a bit

they've only had like two figures since then. Also given that amiami and bombusbee still have anacondas for sale it might not've gone over as well as they planned, at the very least they might want a bigger gap between release and pure ice version.

Are you guys forgetting making toys takes time? Their turnaround time has been pretty good for a small company but they are still a small company. Green Smasher isn't that old yet. And they don't really even have that many figures they can repaint at the moment if Mantis and Eliminator are off the table for whatever reason.

You don't see the contradiction here? Who said Eliminator is their best work? My personal theory is they are dissatisfied with their old work and don't want to rerelease inferior products. Pretty typical behavior of artists, you are often embarrassed by your old stuff and feel you can do better. If it's not that, there could also just be a problem with the molds where they could not remake the figure even if they wanted to. As far as I know they haven't made any comments so it's all speculation.

this makes more sense for mantis than eliminator, the difference between them was leaps and bounds, but at a lot of shows they have been quite proud of showing off their internal skeletons and articulation, so if eliminator isn't built on the exact same skeleton it might be as much of a technical limitation, if they're trying to standardize their internals a little more then mantis and eliminator could both just be off that baseline.

maybe it's just good business. When the original unkvals are sky high prices because of rarity, it inflates the brand value. People have to buy the new figure if they want a similar one, which generates more discussion about it.
