But it can depend, we can't just outright refuse just because it works (though they can be happier they got educated, prevented a few returned flash lights they thought were broken), we can have people change their mind, in which (depending on the packaging) we either put back on display, or mark it down for clearance.
I noticed though my crew is getting lazier though, I found 2 hotwheels cars loose, left them with the supervisors saying I was gonna find those boxes, found one burred in the customer bin, the other down another aisle (dunno how that happened, should be the toy down there not the box), when I brought the boxes back to "repair" them my department manager threw them in the bin, like she almost did with the one step.
My customers are stupid and my co-workers are getting worse, and they wonder why I insist on doing work task alone
