The first impression of it and the suits were just really bad for people they never forgave it, as a design its really neat as had great play value. One of the most cohesive modern sentai series we've had.
Its one of the modern sentai mecha who's combined form actually helps a bit, proportions aren't the best but the colors feel more balanced.
