Color manga is something the publisher does for digital releases, not Araki's vision by any means.
Only thing that comes to mind regarding Medicos and the color manga is Fugo's white hair and red suit combo, which I've never seen together in a Araki illustration, only in Shueisha's coloring.
The anime didn't even exist when the line started, not to mention that it's just a glorified advertising for the manga, I don't really see the point of bringing it up.
I do agree Medicos should reissue recolors tho, it's pretty dumb of them not to do so, I just think you got your reasonings backwards.
