back in the early 2000s, there was an eBay seller who’d sell prototypes and seemingly custom run molds of Transformers in translucent and chrome colors. Even doing custom orders. Eventually this guy disappeared and suspicion was Takara got wind of it and put a stop to it.
People used to post early leaks on websites, but YouTube is so public it puts more eyes and a more visible target on who’s buying the leaked figures
