Some of his joints are stupidly tight, which wouldn't be so bad if the internal sprues (is that the right word?) like the one for his shoulder didn't feel so fucking flimsy. The balls for the shoulder pads don't connect as great as they really should for how much you'll be moving them around if they're flipped back. Had to heat the ever-loving fuck out of one before forcing the ball into the socket, then let it cool. And if you're trying to get tight poses with his legs, you're going to be scraping the upper parts of his thighs as they grind against his hips, to the point where you /will/ start digging into paint/plastic.
But all that aside, these new SIC figures continue to win me over as some of the coolest fucking toys I own. I wasn't pleased with the two different beam lengths, but the difference makes things look really, really dynamic now that I've played around with them. It's so easy to pose these guys so that they keep the original, heroic atmosphere of the show, or bring out that monstrous, SIC style without actually changing much about the figure itself.
The suitcase's transformation is also really fun to breakdown and gives a lot of extra shit to an already decked out figure. I had a nightmare trying to open the gun up as well, and had to use hot water to warm shit up, and still managed to scrape off a little paint. Nothing noticeable though.
So the engineering leaves a little to be desired, but the ideas are fantastic, and the execution is good enough that I'm completely satisfied with him. Definitely don't hesitate to warm up anything that's super stiff.
