I was that guy for about 10 years. Before the figure boom of 2009 (Figuarts, Figma, SAS). The early 1/12 figures were trash imho, so I bought hundreds of statues instead. It wasn't until around 2015, when the 2.0's came around they became much better.

The biggest problem with statues is finding one line with a consistent style and scale. They are typically too all over the place.

This tells me you haven't owned an shf since the early days of scouter vegeta and co. who had really loose joints. Things have come a long way since then. Now I just like the fact I can be creative and create multiple poses with one figure, rather than having to get another statue of them.
