Plus the back-story of the character as originating with Steven King who wanted a character named after his son, and the character still carries the "King" name. You don't like the character. And the character is a bad-ass now. He comes with weapons now, and does more than just hypnotize captives of Cobra as the original figure's mission statement. And he's apparently part of some tangent continuity where he leads a paranornmal arm of Cobra. That's not really that much of a stretch from the original ARAH when considering CC's "Phantom Brigade."
