>>11107446I don't necessarily mind Todd's taste sometimes. I finally saw the Braniac robots from Ghosts of Krypton warming a peg at my local GameStop, and it looked cool. Not $22.99 cool, mind you, but if I saw them at a Ross or Burlington for $4-7.99, you can bet I would waste time running around to different stores and snapping up 3-4 of them to have an army.
It really just depends. The Val Zod, Superman and Zod from that series (also at GS) looked way too fucking overdesigned.
I regretted not getting the Val Zod because I doubt McFarlane will make a variant. But the texture looked just that shitty through the clam shell so I figured it will look worse with just barely any dust and I'll spend every day cleaning it and hating it every time I pick it up.
