>>8628036>Not if you use thick wire, the cape in my pic has a pretty sturdy wire.even coat hanger wire will break faster and that's funny that you want to claim it looks better and natural, considering how thick the "frame" of that cape is.
>Have you ever had a wired cape? Like one that is done professionally? Because if you did you'd know that's completely false, cloth is extremely light and the wire is extremely strong, it will not droop. I own a bunch of DCD, 3a,100toys, and Mezco figures that feature wired clothes. Everything eventually droops. My Dark Knight Mezco figure has a stand that helps with that, but it's unique and not built in. It only supports what it needs to, unlike stitched in wire.
>There are smaller fiber fabrics, which is what most good capes are done withCustom ones then? Like that thickass cape you posted on your One Punch Man? With the in-scale-pinky-thick-stitching?
I've never seen a realistic looking cloth on 1:12 figures. And most customs i've seen look like blankets.
Only on 1:6 scale is it somewhat believable.
>>8628037It's a comic book figure and their shit looks smooth. They're also wearing skin tight costumes that are perfectly smooth too. So i don't see what the problem here is.
It's why i find Mezco's spandex shit to be acceptable, because they're emulating that entire movie look where everyone wears basketball textured clothes. I sure as hell wouldn't call that realistic or natural though. It's stylized and that's it.
