And no, NECA being barred from releasing Footclan or Shredder isn't proof of anything, because that's normal shit that belongs in every license. That's what a license is for, to specify who, what, where is made.
To dumb it down for you kids: it's like when a parent (nickelodean) gives a room (merch rights) in a house (the world) to each of their kids. Sometimes a kid has to share a room (like say, merch rights for 6" figures) and the parents dictate what side of the room they get (country/continent).
So what happens with the kids who share a room and the littlest one keeps on touching his brother's side? The parents have to come in tell the other one to stop. They're sharing and they need to learn to respect the other's side.
