In that case, I will try stripping off some of the paint in one area using acetone like you said. The plastic should be the same base plastic underneath as the rest of the figure.
I also noticed his eyes need to be whitened versus Burning where they are red/orange.
Honestly Bandai may just re-release this mold in the future without the burning paint as a MogeGoji figure. I'm using this as a stepping stone because I have other figures I'd like to improve with paint too (looking at you Monster X..).
