His "God Ginrai" form is just a few pieces that attach to him -- one to each of his forearms, one to each of his shoulders, his crotch plate, and then the large collar bone piece that slips over top that has the wings, rear thrusters, and chest plate (and peg holes to put the cannons into).
The only preclusion to using the smaller head is that you have to use the faux cab for his chest because you need that indentation at the back end for his collar flap to rest in.
