So my Dspiae "Illusive Shadows" came in the mail today. I quickly put together a 30MM kit just to see out it performed.
>Disclaimer
Overall, I have a positive opinion of the Dspiae brand. Their tools haven't failed me so far, and I think their products are decent for their price. That said, this is the first power tool I buy from them.
>Quick overview
The package is quite nice and, like many other dspiae tools, it comes with a practical case. It includes a charging cable, the tool itself, eight differently shaped heads and multiple pre-cut adhesive sandpaper bits (grits ranging from #180 to #1000).
>Performance
The tool itself has three speeds. I found that it's perfectly capable of removing nubs and scratches in a matter of seconds, so no false advertising. The biggest advantage this tool has over other electric sanders is the fact that it's wireless and light, so you'd think that it skimps in power. It doesn't.
Personally, when I sand a piece I tend to go up to at least #1500 grit if I'm using sponges, so I'm very disappointed the set doesn't include sandpaper stickies for that. I still had to use my sponges on the kit.
As always with these tools, expect a fair amount of plastic dust unless you're moistening the surface you're sanding.
