>>10136380That’s a shame. To me their g1 molds are fantastic because they’re carefully crafted to be stylistically slender. There’s a grace to the way the body is sculpted that g3 completely destroys. I don’t want MH to be realistic that defeats the entire purpose.
Not to be a giant weeb, but there’s an anime called Princess Tutu that is really good. When I first saw the designs it was really off putting but as I watched the series I understood why the slender designs worked and began to appreciate them. It was to really highlight the characters graceful movements when they did ballet. (Also the story is really good)
I kind of see MH g1 body molds in a similar light. The body molds worked with the fashion and over all appearance. It enhanced everything, someone really put thought into the design. Now in g3, everyone looks really frumpy and not nearly as elegant.
