Once the movie hit and we got Universe 2.0 they never quite recaptured the spark. Each progressive series had a theme they tried to stick to(realistic vehicles, anniversary, combiners, headmasters, G1 accuracy, etc) that hurt the purity of just making a figure with some classic inspiration but modern aesthetics.
