We've seen from at least a DOZEN companies using Kickstarter to fund their toylines and none of them need as much funding as you said just to make SINGLE toy.
Most of these companies have NOTHING to do with the industry, so they did NOT get the rates Mattel would be able to get. Even those who worked in the industry have never had shit done in China, so they're starting at square one too. And those that HAVE had shit produced by China? They do not have the high production numbers to get the discount rates Mattel gets. So neither McFarlane nor 4H get that sweetass deal.
To explain away the fact that Mattel is a monster of a company that pulls a ton of weight onto Chinese factories, you need to pretend that they don't get prototypes or other processes Mattel does, despite the fact every kickstarter showing off the various prototypes and struggles with quality control.
So now you are lying to defend a proven liar's lies.
At this point, you should stop tripfagging and go back to being anonymous, because you're embarassing as fuck.
