>>10262516>dumbshit is only pretending to understand the difference between profits and revenueHoly retard
If orders dropped as much as you're still trying to say, they'd be saying REVENUE, because that's VOLUME sales. The fact is they're talking about PROFITs (cost ratios, etc).
Since I don't want to make a 5000 word lecture on simple HS economics, I'll make this brief example: they made too many original molds in 2000. So they COULD (read: I'm making this shit up so retards like you can understand this) sell as many toys as they did in 1999 but made less PROFIT in 2000
Anyone who finished a HS course on economics should understand the letter that oyu posted, yet you can't. Why?
And here you post ANOTHER article, that you FAIL at understanding, despite being plain english
>we're going to stick to the basics - toys, video games ... the things our fans prefer, rather than some of the fringe itemsbecause Jar Jar pogo sticks and Jar Jar Flick A Tongues didn't sell
Again, TPM figures didn't shelf warm as hard as TFA, RO, or TLJ. By late 00, almost all the TPM stuff was gone. Again, Hasbro didn't face shelf space being cut in half with the 00, 01, nor 02 lines like TLJ, Solo, and RoS did, because retailers still wanted Star Wars toys after TPM.
See pic? This is from 2018, another year that had Star Wars cross promotion to sell Star Wars products, yet retailers barely want to do with anything Star Wars, because toys from the year before and the year before that are still sitting there unsold. Star Wars never had this little shelf space since 1995, because nothing SW ever sold this badly.
Again, you're comparing a mountain to a mole hill and i'm starting to think you're functionally illiterate.
Anyone have that webm of still wrapped palletes full of shittyass TPM figurines getting shredded?
