So I just opened my Cure Yell today and I am never buying another Precure SHF again. I haven't seen QC this bad on a figure in years. Her hip and knee joints were so tight I had to lube them just so they wouldn't snap, and there's something funky with her left leg because now it keeps falling off at the hip. Her right wrist joint snapped off when I tried to remove her hand. I've seen this problem with every single Precure release but it never happened to me until now. Her other hand comes off the joint just fine. I switched them both out with Figma joints and they work okay, better articulation now but she has tumor wrists and the hands don't connect cleanly, but it's about an even trade. Finally, there are clumps of brown and black dirt in her bracelets and sleeves. Like it's not just on the paint, it seems like it's actually baked into the plastic. It looks absolutely disgusting and Bandai should be ashamed of themselves. Finally, just to top it all off, the arm for her stand is missing from the sealed plastic bag with the rest of the stand components. They just fucking forgot it.
It's been 10 fucking years since the first Precure SHF and they've always had terrible QC. I can only blame myself for continuing to buy them out of desperation because I know I'd never get anything better. Well, not anymore. I'm done. I can't justify spending (at least) 6k plus shipping on each SHF when the fucking 500 yen candy toys are of comparable size and quality. It's not like Precure SHFs have ever had good articulation anyway.
Anyway, fuck Bandai and fuck Precure.
