Add to that the now much higher price for figmas, have made most of figma users expect/demant much higher quality out of a figure that is just a mass produced toy not high end medical equipment
I'm sure that before 2010 (before the price increase) any QC were disregarded/toned down by figma users as prices were cheap and you can't expect/demand high quality out of mass produced toy on a chinkchonk sweatshop factory in Communistland
