>>7772576That's an interesting point with big cats, though I don't know if comparing mammals to dinosaurs is a good idea. I'm sure there's a big difference between the way fur and scales could display colour. I don't think there are any green mammals other than things like Sloths where the colour is artificially determined by moss growing on their backs, but green scales are very common among reptiles. Same with blue and purple.
I do like the idea of the smaller Zuni being a little more colourful than the larger ones, that's pretty nice.
>>7772582From what I've seen, pretty much every dinosaur found has been a reddish brown colour, or had contrasting stripes on it. Even the largest found dinosaurs had countershading, which is used to help with camouflage, implying that even though these creatures were armoured tanks, they still had to go with natural, outline-hiding colours. Check out the Borealopelta discovery for an example of this, pic related.
That being said though, I'm not trying to say that every restoration must be bland and boring, because I do appreciate artists putting more speculative colourations on dinosaurs. I'm just lamenting the fact there isn't one available for this line as of yet. It seems like they're really going for accuracy with these figures, and it would be nice if there was one available with plausibly accurate colours too from what the fossil record shows just to seal the deal.
