This was one of the last sets I got. I got it for my 10th birthday I think, it was probably the most expensive set I ever owned too. I loved it so much. It was one of the two sets I never took apart, the other being the Luke X-Wing that came with Yoda's hut from around the same time. I'm pretty sure they were both still sitting on my shelf when I was well into high school and had taken all other toys out of my bedroom and into the basement. Not sure why I loved it so much. At the time it just seemed so sleek. Back then that sort of thing was pretty novel. It was before all Lego Star Wars sets quit being so blocky and lost all sense of personality. It had really fun play features. I just ordered the 20th Anniversary version hoping that it sorta recaptures that magic.
