n00b here. I'm working on a simple little 4x8 HO layout with my 7-year old. He calls the shots. We've got the Bachmann EZ Track in place, and I was wondering, is there a way to make the turnouts power-carrying? There are two #5 turnouts and the two in the "yard" are their 18" radius turnouts.
We're not looking to power them - flicking the manual switches is fine. But it would be great if the turnouts didn't send power to the other track. That way we could park locomotives on the spurs while running one around the loop.
If not, I'll look into isolating each spur and giving them switches to power them on individually. Just seems like a lot more work than if the turnouts could do that for me.
Ignore the N-scale track in the mountain - that's going to be an abandoned mine.
