Most expensive toy I bought was the Guts Black Swordsman RAH. Thankfully found it for 20k yen ($184) MIB instead of the 30k retail price on an auction site, but with proxy fees and shipping it did turn out to be about $240. Still about $60 less. Was it worth it? Meh...I honestly wouldn't pay more than $175 for it.
I've barely played around with it because of how big the figure is (hard to pose dynamically as it's heavy and will topple easily, and also because I don't have a lot of space in my glass cabinet).
Also, aside from the well-done head, the arms have ugly seams and holes for the elbow joints, and the arms and legs aren't as beefy/muscular as they should be. Plus, the darn black cape left a black smudge mark on his jaw. Paint details could have been much more, since the armor looks more plastic-y than shiny metal.
It's still great display piece in my collection though.
The most I would spend on a toy? It depends, but no more than $200 imo. If say, ThreeZero were to release another 1/6 scale articulated Berserk figure, I would highly consider it. But after collecting for many years I've come to realize that they're just pieces of plastic that I don't *really* need and ultimately you can save/spend money much more wisely.
