>>7576851>what’s worse. The guy who takes bland pictures or the organization teaching people to take bland pictures. I’m inclined to say the latter but you’ve all surely picked up on that by now

Yeah it can be a little awkward to get “caught” but most people just ask if you’re doing stop motion. It’s the dogs you need to watch out for, coming up and sniffing shit, knocking things over etc. If you’re on a popular trail you’ll notice plenty of people with cameras because nature and whatnot so you blend in. It’s kinda like going to the gym; everyone’s too preoccupied with what they’re doing to notice or care what you’re doing.
I’ve only run into “trouble” twice in like 5 years. The first was when this douchey mountain biker stopped with this “what are you losers doing” vibe but I have a serious don’t fuck with me face and told him we were minding our own fucking business so he peddled on. Most recently I was in the tree line and this field trip of 11 year olds passed by and one heckled me “Nice backpack! are you playing Pokémon Go? Are you a Hobo?” And I chuckled and told them I was hiding bodies and the chaperone yelled “Keep walking!” at them. Kinda glad it happened since it was the only interesting thing to come out of that day. The light was ass and I was short on time and I wound up with pic related. I don’t even think I like it but it’s been too cloudy for a redo.
