I literally have comics on the shelf with my graphic novels in places. On my Spidey shelf (albeit in a black bag holding the Identity Crisis issues after the Clone omnis) and on my Superman and Batman shelves with asorted issues. I even arranged my Batman volumes in rough chronological order blending bronze age with modern.
Also I have a spinner rack full of floppies at the bottom entrance to my library, stuff I collected in the 90s and 00s. I have longboxes of my old and new comics stacked behind a cabinet. I pull roughly 6 titles monthly, plus whatever Godzilla miniseries come out and any Marvel throwback mini by Michelinie or DeMatteis
