Finally an accurately scaled 1/12 one after the smaller Moncolle and Bandai Figure Collection ones! Stands about 1.8” to the top of his head and 2.4” to the top of the features on his head. This Jazwares one attempted gradient paint jobs for the leek and shield which both came out rather nice for a $7 mass produced toy. My figure had significant warping of the feet, leek top, and shield point, but that can be fixed with hot water. He was crammed into the package and the leek/shield were at odd angles in order to have it fit in the plastic tray so that’s understandable.
His right arm has the visible socket interior mentioned earlier which is frustrating. The neck, right arm, and left arm are the articulation points. The right arm is a (severely limited) rotating peg with only about 10° backward rotation and about 80° forward. The left arm is on a vertical hinge which is a neat touch and a great design choice since it allows him to bring the shield in closer toward his body as he would do in real life. Compared to the silly rotating the Bandai figure could do with that arm, this is a huge improvement. Unlike the Bandai figure, this figure’s shield and leek are not removable but there’s not really any point for that.
