>>8721040>I was only ever interested in the Lego ones, but they were definitely too expensiveLego was kind of foolish to charge $100 for a starter, then up to $40 for a minifig with an nfc disc containing up to 1/3 of extra gameplay.
The trick was to buy only the discs on bricklink, they even had the portal. The priority was only getting ones that unlocked a story/level, then finding out which rest of the adventure world characters had the best field moves if they came in a two-pack. And you only needed one per world, which is why the LOTR, Lego movie and DC packs hardly sold. All you really get from collecting them all is seeing the characters react to each other.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9Uxlo6SxTw&t=11sif you just happened to have all the DC characters to go with the TTG characters, they end up having one full conversation.
and the game could be bought loose at gamestop, but this was only if you couldnt wait til black friday for a complete starter pack. in any case, everything should be cheaper to get right now.
