In picrel, he literally has bigger thighs than Optimus Prime. You only think they're supposed to be skinny because almost ALL thighs were comparatively skinny as a part of the show's overaching stylization. But this isn't an "Animated" figure. It's a Generations figure of an Animated character, so they sized up his thighs accordingly. If you prefer the original look, that's fine, but don't blame the figure for not being something it was never trying to be.
