Good Figure

You can only choose 2 of these but cannot have a third. The closest is some of the marvel figuarts that go on clearance for 40-50$, but these are often on clearance because the content wasn't good (ergo less popular). I think Dragonball figuarts come close too, but do not fully meet the popular mark (but they are super close).

By figure quality I am specifically referring to the Japanese style of joints. Also paint, finish detail etc. is included but first and foremost for me is joint quality.

To my knowledge the cheapest Japanese style joints are for gunpla (not metal but still good), and transformers (metal).

I collected only deluxe transformers for a month or two and loved it. My only quality problem is hollowness. Tf's fill that void of cheap Japanese toy for me (even if they aren't high quality.)

You have probably picked up on the fact I am metal pin anon.

I don't think American toys can be classified as high quality until they switch ratchets for pins. Keep in mind I still think pinless Hasbro, jada, and Mattel line are Fun, just not high quality.

To say mafex isn't affordable is just retarded. Don't by 15 dog shit marvel legends figures and suddenly you'll be able to afford a couple of good figures. Legends fags biggest problem is that they've Stockholm syndromed themselves into spending years of their lives buying into Hasbros eco system. They can not fathom leaving it behind even if everything about mafex is better.

You can go deep with kamen rider because the main riders are 30-40$ and then you buy the p bandai stuff for 60-70$. However kamen rider is not popular in the west (compared to marvel and DC) thus making demand lower.

Its the character popularity, not the brand. Superman is more popular than goku. Superman is able to have multiple western Hollywood movies, while Dragonball has only had one (which was a collosal failure). DB is big in anime circles but is lost among a general audience.

If anything, along with Pokemon, it's one of the ONLY anime to break into the mainstream and stay there for decades.
