Does this new goku have rubber arms or something? Does bandai not know how fucking fast rubber degrades?

Kinda hope this line dies fast. "HD anime" looks like shit, especially in figure form.

To be fair, Bandai used rubber for the arms on these ancient ass Evangelion kits and they surprisingly seem to hold up well
I don't think these will, though since they seem closer to what you see on phicens and similar toys that deteriorate fast

I don't mind the deviation in styling, and I do like the way it looks, but the rubber/silicon arms are a deal-breaker. These forms of engineering don't even work well when companies that specialize in highly detailed/screen accurate figurses implement them.

I don't understand why they even bothered since they're still using a sculpt with exposed joints on the head, neck and the legs anyway. I think the aesthetic is solid but the entire mission statement of the figure just seems muddled.

It all depends on the material and how you maintain it, I have a seamless figure I got a decade ago that's still yet to crack or dry out.
