The 1970's Gabriel Toys Lone Ranger line was pretty good. Figures were nine inches, came with full cloth outfits and had horses and other accessories to scale. There were also a dozen of adventure sets that included outfits for all the different characters, including the bad guy.

RE: Cowboy Toys.
We also had Sip-along Sam and Sip-along Sue (or as the commercials of the time went "A Cowboy for me, a Cowgirl for you.")

I think Chicken Fried Toys is doing some cool stuff currently.

I was looking at the number of accessories that came with each figure and it's kinda crazy.
I also think the line is reasonably inoffensive now (well except for Custer - but fuck him)

I was looking through a Christmas "Wishbook" and damned if my parents dind't actually get me everything I wanted one year - more.
It made me terribly regret every time I bitched and whined for a specific toy.
I did call my Mom and thank her though.
