>primeape with dragon dance and bullet punch >Weezing with Poison heal/analytic (with curse it would destroy things) >Glalie with Solid rock >Claydol with Sand Stream/Sand Rush/ sand Veil
What would be your optimal / favorite pokémon line-up as a trainer? >Charizard >Blastoise >Venusaur >Raichu >Dragonite >Mew If we're not talking legendaries, I'd go with >Snorlax
How bout, outside of the line-up, other pokemon you'd HAVE to have. >Butterfree >Pidgeot >Nidoking >Golduck >Scizor >Ampharos >Heracross >Espeon >Metagross >Lucario >Floatzel >Victini
People talk about this motherfucker constantly one upping you, but let's face facts. You smacked his shit around every time you met. The problem is with Rivals (and antagonists for that matter) it is nigh impossible to set up a scenario where you actually have to lose(due to the diversity of mons, move sets and the ability to trade), and because you can't lose in canon, you will never have to ascend to gain a satisfying victory over what seemed an insurmountable foe. But what if they made a rival like this: >I like fire types! I'mma pick this one! >Rival chooses water starter. >Entry level STAB is standard issue in this game >Always uses it, because 'It's Super Effective!' >No access to potions >No teammates. >There is no way to kill it in less than three turns. >yfw when you will always die in two. >O Shi- Then after he inevitably kicks your ass because there was no way you could possibly win the battle, He leaves to catch a team of badasses and hopes you can keep up. /vp/ why does Game Freak pander to their Japanese fanbase with constant exclusive event pokemon and such when they make a much higher sum of their profit here in the states?
