I didn't breed a shiny one (I don't have the patience), but I personally went through the trouble of breeding a Gliscor with perfect IVs because he's my fav, and use him a lot more than a shiny one with perfect IVs that I got off of a giveaway here on /vp/ just because of the effort. I couldn't even picture losing him to an accident, much less some bitch taking it away.
