Vaporeon gets the powerful STAB in Scald, allowing it to burn anything that poses a threat to it's lower defense stat of only 60. Can replace Scald with Hydro Pump for much more power, and finds Ice Beam to be an excellent move for coverage.
Sylveon gets it's powerful STAB in Moonblast, possibly lowering the foe's SpDef to the point where it can 2HKO unsuspecting foes. Although unobtanable without transfering, it is possible to use Pixilate to make Hyper Voice even more powerful than Moonblast, allowing it to seriously damage Substitute users. It has access to Shadow Ball to hit the ever prevelant Ghost type, and Psyshock to hit anything that would sponge special attacks.
