>Shit I liked
Great characterization with the author able to seamlessly transition between numerous writing styles depending on the scene, tone, and cast involved.
Cheren and Melody are great love-to-hate characters and a refreshing breath of fresh air after a deluge of poorly written antagonists in other fangames.
Great selection of starters.
Good music choices overall.
Good presentation, use of silence, changing text speed mid-line, and sprite choreography to convey emotion effectively.
Technical marvel of a game. This was made in goddamn renpy.
A lot of what's going on is left in the subtext for the player to deduce. I love this, but if you're speedreading or otherwise not actively engaging with it, a lot of the stuff around the forest will likely seem like it came out of nowhere.

>Stuff worth talking about
VN format and extremely text heavy. If being a VN isn't an immediate dealbreaker, the game makes sure the payoffs are worth your time.
Easy-medium difficulty.
Player can get extremely powerful very quickly depending on choices made.

While the starting mon selection is great, the early wild mon selection is not until you get access to the Inspira City wild zones.
Red is way too eager to remind the player he likes dick at awkward times.
Calem stop Chrisposting and stick your dick in Serena.
