>>54232355I think it depends on what the actual hints are in SV. Scarlet + Violet evoke the classic Red + Blue dichotomy while also touching on a past versus future idea. I think if there's anything indicated for where the next games might go, they have clearly been playing with the idea of alternate realities, revisiting traditions and fighting cosmic threats for a while now. I don't imagine that to change. So things that have to do with that.
>What will the new pokemon game be called? I'm really feeling Zero + Infinity if we get a time/cosmic focused game. If the game instead focuses on taking us back to a different time or living in a more traditional space, then we'll get another gemstone/metal generation. So something like Jade + Amber, Turquoise + Amethyst, Opal + Obsidian, Bronze + Marble, Cobalt + Iron, etc...
>Will it be in a new region? Yes if it releases before the 30th anniversary. But if the game comes out for the 30th, it is 100% going to be a revisit of Kanto. Not another remake, a straight up revisit. So like meeting up with the region further along in time. Not so far along like that weird autistic shit Lockstin does with it being gritty cyberpunk anime shit, but definitely enough into the future that the region will have changed (like maybe 10 years since GSC?)
>Will it be on the switch?Absolutely not. It will be on the next system and probably release in 2025. 2024 will be reserved for the next remake title and "slowing down" their crunch. 2026 will then be the 30th anniversary title, unless Gen 10 is delayed like I speculate above
