>>15661154Pros: Super Training was a great addition since so few people understood how to EV train a pokemon
The wireless/online functionality has never been better, wonder trades are amazing, being able to battle, trade or GTS anywhere was a long time coming and it's everything I expected it to be
The game looks good overall, the battles look great. Thankfully the framerate issues aren't a huge problem in a turn based RPG
Friend safaris are nice/ the new destiny bond makes IV breeding possible
Cons: The game is unnecessarily easy, the gym leaders and all of the Elite 4 members have 4 pokemon at most, and that's so stupid it breaks my fucking immersion.
Still no dark gym, what the fuck are they waiting on with that.
Fire, Water, and Dragon would have been better suited to having their own gyms in my opinion, than say, bug. That one's personal preference.
Still no real way of checking your Pokemon's IV's. The Judge is a nice, if not necessary feature, but I'd like to know what that non-perfect IV is.
Story was on the weak side, Lysandre was disney evil and I don't understand why they can't consistently write in good gangs.
Your rival is weak, and she's too friendly. I miss the G/S/C rival. He was a thief, he was a dick, and he was abusive to his Pokemon. He eventually learns the error of his ways thanks to you handing his ass to him over the course of the game. Even Blue was a better rival. He was a better person than
Giovanni's son but at least he was antagonistic and arrogant. I'm just getting tired of the bullshit best bro rival thing they've been doing since 3rd gen.
All in all I say the pro's outweigh the cons, and as loathe as I am to summarize a complicated opinion with a number,
8.5/10 And I would say it lived up to the hype, since I honestly expected 4th gen all over again.
