What's the psychology behind this? Why do people blow hundreds of U.S Dollars on this? For example this one is $22.99 USD, I got a CD/DVD drive for my PC for $25 USD, two dollars more. A disc drive in the current year has more usage than a plushie, in my opinion (because of software, drivers, and other shit that come on install discs).
$22.99 may not seem to be much, but it adds up. $22.99 x 5 is $114.95. For practically $115, you can get much more mileage out of that sum of money.
