"I think it's a great game and you should play it. I love the gameplay and the graphics are nice," he said.
Dunkey has played the game on PS4, 3DS, Xbox One, Wii U, and PC. He's now playing on Switch.
"I've played Pokemon on all the consoles, I think it's awesome," he said. "I also love Pokemon Go."
Pokemon fans don't have to look far to find positive comments about the games, with Nintendo's Switch launch in October 2016 attracting a significant amount of positive reviews.
But Dunkey doesn't care much for the Nintendo and Pokemon brand names.
"It's all Pokemon games," he said. "I think Nintendo's done a bad job of branding their brand."
