So /vp/, it's time to talk about your encounters with Shiny's. Caught, lost and loved.
First - I was 9, playing Pokemon Silver, Surfing around the Whirl Islands, and then it appeared. A Horsea that sent out stars. I had no idea what Shiny Pokemon were at this point, seeing as they were absent from R/B/Y, but I caught it, because I wnated a Seadra, and I especially wanted one that sent out start. A few weeks later, I realise it's got purple bits under it's fins, which isn't normal. Find it cool, keep training it.
2 - Also in SIlver, after beating the game. Be in Mt. Silver, want a Pupitar, find one. Also stars. Catch it. Get a sandy coloured Tyranitar. Love!
3 - No Shiny for me in R/S/E, and none in D/P/Pl, I had to wait until the damn remakes. Playing HeartGold, in Mt. Mortar, green Zubat. Holyfuck! Finally old enough to appreciate a shiny. Already have a Crobat in my team. Catch that fucker. Only use it in the Pokeathlon cause Crobat looks better purple.
4 - Just bought White, be playing for 9 hours, 2 badges, just wandering, discovering the layout, when a shiny Timburr pops up, train it to level 39, box it, not used it since. Handy as fuck though, I just don't like Fighting types much.
5 - Completed White, wandering through Giant Chasm, decide to Surf. Shiny Poliwag. It uses Bellydrum! Aghh. Throw ball, catch it. Phew!
And of course, in Fire Red, the one that got away. Almost in Celadon City, wandering through the grass, Shiny Pidgey...uses Whirlwind. I could have cried. Then the game spazzed, gave it to my brother and he caught a Shiny Onix in Victory Road, then his game spazzed. I only have Politoed, Crobat, Conkeldurr and the Red Gyarados from HeartGold on my Black2 save now. Hopefully another soon, it's been over a year.
