It's the most glaring with Serena and Calem because they're probably the tallest MCs in the series. Pic related, look how much shorter he is compared to his 2D art relative to head size.
Also, the Paldea characters are all slighly too tall, no idea why. Relative to each other their sizes are correct, but like
