See, the thing is Gen 8 did REMARKABLY well despite what you or I or anyone else here thinks. That doesn't give Game Freak much incentive to change anything, they'll just double down on what they've already done. If they didn't I'd be more inclined to agree.
You have a point about them dropping Z for S/M in time the 20th anniversary, but I ask you was that really the right move considering how Kalos was handled? I guess this is why you bring up DLC though, as they get to properly "finish" Galar and not have to shoehorn rush shit like Zygarde was in Gen 7.
I dunno anon, I'm a little too jaded to expect anything truly AAA tier at this point unless that's just something they wish to do. The closer collaboration with Nintendo could go either way, hope for the best while expecting nothing is the state I'll forever be in.
