Cheating in event items is perfectly fine with me. Events are a bullshit cash grab, and I don't humor the thought of attendance, especially when my country never seems to host any. I'm not getting a ticket and flying down to burgerland to complete the fucking Pokedex every generation, that should be something I can do by default.
Anyone who uses a glitch to get said items is a cheater, too. Not resorting to a Gameshark doesn't mean that you aren't fooling the game into thinking you did something that you didn't. I don't care if the game 'allows' you to do it or not, the expectation for getting the Pokemon is that you actually went to the event. You're still illegitimately creating items through value manipulation, you're just doing it through flaws in code instead of using a device to do it for you.
